Certa Logistics is a cold chain transport and logistics supplier to the temperature-controlled logistics industry, with a modern fleet of vehicles ranging from sample vans and 7.5t trucks with tail-lifts, through to articulated vehicles with 45ft tri-axle fridge boxes. Specialising in the handling of highly regulated and controlled goods across the UK and internationally, we understand the complex environment you customers operate in, and provide bespoke solutions to your supply chain needs.

With temperature controlled vehicles which are compliant with the MHRA’s Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements, you will be reassured that your products are safe, secure and accurately handled. Our objective is to help our customers to grow their business by providing a logistics service that mirrors their own high standards and enhances their brand reputation.

Our History

Paul Carter launched Certa Logistics in 2014. Having worked in the logistics and supply chain industry for 28 years, particularly within the chilled and frozen food sectors, Paul always had aspirations to own a business. From humble beginnings of owning one vehicle with himself as a driver, the business rapidly grew to become one of the leading operators. Certa Logistics has become a trusted, long-term partner for some of the UK’s leading high street retailers and pharmaceutical companies.

We pride ourselves in building long-lasting relationships with our clients, designing bespoke solutions to meet their needs – we know that one size does not fit all.

Transparent communication is at the heart of our operations. This is what makes us different to other suppliers in this industry. We are open and honest, providing up to date and realistic ETAs, and accurate temperature records to maintain the integrity of their goods.

We continually evaluate and adapt our procedures to ensure we remain compliant in the sectors we operate in, enabling our customers to focus on their core business. We are committed to understanding the changing needs of our customers and evolve our business to suit their requirements.

Our people are also important to us, and learning and development, and employee wellbeing is high on our agenda. We focus on upskilling our people not only for employee satisfaction, but also to ensure we provide our customers with qualified and professional people.

Preferred & Accredited Suppliers

Certa Logistics only works with suppliers which have been thoroughly vetted and, more importantly, has an excellent working relationship with its senior management team. We only work with those which meet our high expectations. We make sure our suppliers hold the correct insurances, accreditations and use vehicles no older than three years old, and provide a high level of customer service.

Our preferred and accredited list is continually reviewed, with an annual check-up to ensure accreditations and insurances are still in place.

An Experienced Team

Certa Logistics team members are experts in the supply chain and logistics sector, with extensive experience delivering supply chain solutions for the food, drink, and pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Paul Carter, Managing Director

Paul has over 28 years in the logistics and supply chain sector, particularly within the chilled and frozen food sectors. Paul focuses on developing and maintaining close working relationships with clients and suppliers, to drive the growth of the business.

Mark Thompson, Operations Manager

Mark joined Certa Logistics in 2018 and maintains the day to day operations of the business, managing delivery schedules and supporting our drivers. He also works with our Transport Manager to ensure adherence and compliance to transport legislations.

Rick Clarkson, Head of Operations

Rick officially joined Certa Logistics in 2021 as Head of Operations, having worked as a consultant previously. Rick has 12 years’ experience in the logistics and supply chain industry, particularly focussed in the retail, food and wholesale sectors. He supports the business in providing an enhanced service to our existing and potential clients to meet Certa Logistics’ ambitious growth objectives.

Kristina Bevizova, European Operations Director

Kristina joined Certa Logistics in 2020 as European Operations Director. Kristina has over 15 years in international logistics, and manages our European office and team. She focuses on the integration of the UK and European operations, applying her transport and logistics knowledge, innovative approach and customs expertise to support our clients in transporting goods across Europe.
